Subj: Chiropractic & Autism - A Must Read

Dear Carolyn Rose,

It seems the profession is always under attack for one reason or another and it is important that the profession respond to set the record straight and its important that we have evidence to back us up.

As you know autism has reached epidemic proportions and at best the theory is that it has a multicausal mechanism. There are those in our profession that suggest vertebral subluxation is one of those factors.

We have just published an excellent paper by Drs Nicholas and Stephen Marini who discuss a case of a 6 year old boy with autism that responded to chiropractic care focused on subluxation reduction. Beyond the very well written case report the authors also review other published literature suggesting a role for chiropractic and they also go into some detail regarding proposed mechanisms by which chiropractic might have an effect on these individuals.

I urge you to get this article, print it out, read it and  distribute it as widely as possible.

As always I look forward to your feedback, comments and suggestions.
