overcrowding in the nation's emergency rooms it is only natural for us
to believe this is due to the fact that these individuals are without
proper health insurance.
But a recent survey from the American College of Emergency Physicians
indicates that the real reasons is that these people do have insurance
but are unable to find a doctor to treat them.
An overwhelming majority (97%) said that they routinely see patients
on a daily bases that have Medicaid, which is a government program for
low income families and individuals, who are unable to find a doctor
that that is willing to take their insurance.
