[MedicalConspiracies] Chicago man's 'illegal' gun saves life

 

Chicago man defends himself with "illegal" handgun Under Chicago's draconian gun laws, it's illegal to own a handgun for self-defense.  However, you and I both know that doesn't stop the criminals and thugs from preying upon the vulnerable. Recently, an 80 year-old Chicago man shot and killed an attacker during a home invasion in the early hours Wednesday morning.  The man, who is a Korean War veteran and grandfather of six, may face criminal charges of illegally possessing a handgun within the city limits. The veteran, who's name has not been released, has been the victim of armed robbery in the past.  He decided he'd had enough and refused to become a victim again. It is simply outrageous to me that this man -- a veteran no less -- might face criminal  charges simply for protecting himself and his family. You can read more about this story by clicking here. This event underscores the importance of the Chicago v. McDonald Supreme Court case, which could overturn the City of Chicago's handgun ban.  Even now, while the Supreme Court deliberates the fate of the handgun ban, Chicago politicians are angling to copy Washington D.C.'s new gun laws, which are so onerous they represent a ban in all but name.
