In the dead of winter, and in a nation that hears only bad news, Here is a 10 minute old calf, being licked dry by its mother, This will be one of a Thousand calves born on this ranch in South West Nebraska in the next 6 weeks. The calves not only face winter storms, but also wolves and big cats, and coyotes more than willing to kill them.
That is the future dangers, but today
we celibrate the first calf of the year.
