In the last hour, consumer privacy advocate Katherine Albrecht shared an update on the current US census plan which incorporates tagging homes with GPS readings. Data collection is being done by some 140,000 workers for the 2010 census, and she expressed concern that some of the information they are gathering could be misused by the government.

Data collection is being done by some 140,000 workers for the 2010 census, and she expressed concern that some of the information they are gathering could be misused by the government.
She's so right. Before Hitler invaded countries, his minions had already gathered data on people, and compiled lists. Many people in Czechoslovakia and Holland (blond Jews like me) had no idea that they had Jewish ancestors, until they were rounded up as Jews. But the Nazis had been doing their research and making their lists. The lists were deployed, often, within hours of invasion. This is very, VERY scary. It can only be a sign of bad things to come.
